LAST POST (before the wedding)
Hi everyone. With just one day to go, this will be the last post before the wedding. We just hope we have sufficient energy left to actually turn up. Things are very busy as we frantically try to pull it all together. Next time it's fish and chips.
A few final details:
There are no parking charges at the Registry office.
If you wish to change at the house before the wedding, rooms are available.
If anyone would like to stay an extra night, we have 2 spare rooms and the Love Shack. We are not going on honeymoon right away, so you are most welcome to spend the weekend with us.

Latest Info:
Once you Book into your accommodation, you will seldom need to use your cars. Thrapston is very compact and nothing is more than a few minutes walk. We mention this because the Marquee will be erected on our driveway, leaving no space for parking. If you need to drive to the house, we suggest you use the Sports centre car park and walk past the entrance a down Foundry Walk. It's only about 200 metres. This is all shown on the Thrapston Map in the "Links" section. Note: if you click on the markers on the map, further info will be displayed.
On the wedding day we plan to go in convoy to Oundle Registry Office, leaving from the Bridge Hotel car park at 10:50 (see Thrapston and Oundle maps). You may wish to car-share to reduce fuel and parking costs. We do have to use a pay-and display car Park in Oundle, so take some change.
As previously mentioned, we are having a folk/barn dance, which will be a vigorous affair. Glyn plans to keep her posh frock on, but I plan to get out of my suit into something cooler and more relaxed. If you wish to change, a bedroom will be set aside for you use. Gentlemen please note that you shouldn't change into your wife's posh frock!
We are looking forward to seeing you all and having a great day. If any of you have any special contacts who can fix the weather; 20c and dry please.

RSVP
Hi everyone. Time is flashing by and we need to get down to some serious planning to ensure the day goes smoothly. More than anything, we need to get a firm idea of numbers. Some of you have already been in touch; thanks. If you are still considering, could I ask you let us know by either phone, e-mail or good old snail-mail as soon as possible.
Thanks everyone, we are looking forward to seeing you all in August.

Photos
We won't be having an 'official' photographer but were hoping that those with digital cameras will email their photo's to us so we can post them onto the blog after the wedding. Frank will be chief censor - so I expect it's no holds barred!! Glynxx
Presents
A couple of people have asked what we would like as presents and we really don't need or want any - just bring yourselves and lots of energy!

Band Details
The Folk Dance Band for the wedding will be Orange and Blue. They are a 3 piece, including the caller, who will call the steps and ensure only moderate anarchy ensues. On second thoughts, perhaps we should get you all to sign disclaimers.
If you have never done Barn or Folk dancing before, be assured it will be great fun and a serious workout. Be sure to change your pacemaker batteries beforehand and wear comfy shoes. Stilettos are not recommended!

WELCOME
Welcome all to our new Wedding Blog. We hope you find it useful.
Please feel free to add comments and ideas to make both this Blog and the wedding day even better.
Our plans at the moment are to have the reception at our house, where we can make good use of the newly constructed garden. See the order of play in the Itinerary Section.
There will be a Barn dance in a marquee with a live band, so dress to dance and be prepared to cavort like a Whirling Dervish on steroids.
Food will be a BBQ and can be taken in the marquee, Summer House, or the garden; or anywhere else you fancy. We might even provide plates! There will also be a bar in the garage. We are hoping to get draft beer in for the real men (and women) and some tasteless fizzy lager for the puftas.
To keep the children happy - and worn out early - there will be a Bouncy Castle, Table Soccer and Wii Guitar Heros. Adults are asked to wait until the children have had a go first!
We have booked many of you into accommodation already; check the Accommodation Section of this Blog.
We have also added some links to Google Maps to help you find our home, the Woolpack and the Bridge Hotel. See the Links Section opposite.
